EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS AT THE AUSTRALIAN LIFE COACHING SOCIETY

The ALCS management team has been working hard behind the scenes to create a structure that will work flawlessly and provide the perfect opportunity for both our clients and members to reach their full potential.

The positions all have clear objectives and boundaries, but as they are newly created, they hold much potential for the successful incumbents to creatively develop. Some of these positions require a small commitment of time (no more than an hour or two a week) others will require more time (3-5 hours per week).

OPPORTUNITITES AVAILABLE …

Chapter Leaders: NSW, QLD (& NT) and South-West (SA & WA):

As Chapter Leader you are essentially responsible for putting a human face to each region and bringing together the members in your area. Chapter Leaders will work closely with the Committee of Management to explore opportunities to assist organisations with pro-bono projects and co-ordinate these as required. This role will perfectly suit someone who is a natural communicator, motivator, ring leader and networker.
POSITION DESCRIPTION

Secretary:

This role is an important part of the Executive Team. The Secretary is responsible for keeping the administrative and record-keeping aspects of the organisation in good order. The main role of the secretary is to attend and take Minutes at meetings and receive/distribute correspondence. If you are more of a behind-the-scenes sort of person with a good understanding of compliance issues, great record keeping/typing skills and excellent organizational skills, this role is made for you. (Please note: the current incumbent of this position is not leaving the ALCS Executive Team, but taking on another role within the organisation – news of this and other developments will be announced in the near future).
POSITION DESCRIPTION

Sponsorship Manager:

Even with all the fabulous work our members contribute on a volunteer basis to this organisation, there are still many hidden costs in operating at a professional and responsible level. At present we have a small amount of sponsorship providing financial support, however, it is not enough for us to meet all our financial commitments and important matters have had to be put on hold while we work to attract sponsorship. For this reason we require a dedicated team member who will focus entirely on attracting, communicating and (re)negotiating with sponsors. This role is ideal for someone who is ideas driven, a great negotiator and who loves the thrill of recognising, driving and closing a great win/win deal.
POSITION DESCRIPTION

Publications Manager:

As part of our commitment to offering a resource for our members to promote their own businesses, we provide them the opportunity to feature their articles on our website. We see that this is a fantastic benefit to members and want to be able to accommodate as much of their written works as possible. However, we must ensure that all articles are in keeping with the spirit of promoting the values of coaching and social contribution. Moreover, we need to make sure all articles meet a minimum standard of professionalism and consistency in style, presentation and a generally adhere to basic conventions in writing. The Publications Manager will be responsible for managing this process, proof-reading all work published under the ALCS name. If you are someone who loves to read, if you have a good grasp of writing conventions and an eye for detail, you would be a welcome addition to our team.
